Understanding Drop

Drop is the distance the awning drops between the top of the window and and bottom of the awning. The standard recommendation is a 2/3 drop which means that approximately 2/3 of your window is covered.

Things to Consider when deciding how much drop is right for your home:

When attempting to shield the window from the sun, you will need more drop.
When attempting to shield the window from rain, such a large drop is not necessary.
